We’ve put together a list of the most decorated players in the history of football; and you honestly won’t believe who’s at number one! Unsurprisingly, there’s a fair few Barcelona players in there…

Pele won his other two trophies towards the end of his club career, playing for New York Cosmos in the North American Soccer League.

Of course, the best player on the planet had to feature on the list. Much like Iniesta, Messi has been at the centre of Barcelona’s success in recent years, and it’s no coincidence that their influx of trophies occurred ever since the Argentinian magician burst into the side. After just signing a new contract that that runs until 2021, we can only expect Messi’s incredible trophy tally to rise.
